Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
Even though the integrity of this house has been compromised by siding and window alterations, it is included in the inventory because it is the mirror image of the more intact [building at] 517 21st Avenue. The two create a unit unique in this survey area thus this building is important for its contribution to the historic streetscape and for the information it offers about residential development in Seattle. This block is not mapped on the 1893 Sanborn Map, but both houses do appear on the 1904-1905 map. Mrs. E. J. Williams acquired this house in September of 1918.

Appearance
This two story frame house has a hipped roof main mass with gable projections to the north and to the east. An exaggerated shed roof shelters the asymmetrical front entrance. Vinyl siding covers original shingle and clapboard surface detail. Most of the windows have been replaced with aluminum windows.
