This unusual house has elements of the Georgian Revival style combined with the form of the French Eclectic. It was built in 1924, but the original building permit has not been found, so the architect and original owner are not known. The first identified owner was Fred Salmonetti. This street, 22nd Avenue East, is in Capitol Hill Division 6, at the eastern edge of Capitol Hill--the last of the plats of James Moore, the original developer of the neighborhood. As the topography slopes steeply down to the east, this street enjoys spectacular views, and the streets are lined with unusually fine homes.

| Appearance |
| This house has a strong vertical orientation, with a high mansard roof topped with a finial at each corner. It has red brick cladding and a symmetrical façade. The center entry has a circular portico, with two columns and a balustrade (replaced) on top; above this is a group of three narrow art glass windows. Windows are primarily six-over-one, with wide surrounds of cast concrete, with two on each story, flanking the entry. Each side elevation has two pairs on each story. The two primary facades (west and south) each have two pedimented gabled dormers that pierce the cornice line; each has a pair of windows and a small cartouche in the center of the gable. On the rear, facing the lake, is a two-story addition built in 1980 to replace a single-story wing with a deck on top. |
