For a brief period in the early 20th century, during the heyday of the bungalow form, bungalow courts were built as alternatives to apartment living. This collection of ten cottages is a rare surviving example of a bungalow court.
 
Appearance
This is a charming collection of ten identical bungalows that are stacked side-by-side parallel to the street on both sides of a narrow walk. Each of the cottages is a wood shingle, gable roof bungalow with Craftsman detail. Wide eaves have decorative rafter ends and tiny pedimented proches supported by knee braces. A retaining wall, entry gate and planned landscaping further link the cottages.
