Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This hosue embodies the distinctive characteristics of the "free classic" Queen Anne style. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. The house appears on the 1904-1905 Sanborn Map. It was acquired by H. Doogan (et al) in 1927.
 
Appearance
This two story frame Queen Anne residence is elaborated in the "free classic" motif through the use of classicla elements such as Ionic porch columns and Polladianesque windows. It has end wall gables with a front facing gable projection, a three-sided bay window and a flat roofed porch with detailed architrave. The porch is supported by trios of columns resting on a balustrade made of siding to match the house. Original upper porch railing is missing and the house was sheathed in wood shingles in 1958
