This house embodies the distinctive characteristics of a vernacular interpretation of the Queen Anne style. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. This house does not appear on the 1893 Sanborn Map but does appear on the 1904-1905 Sanborn.
 
Appearance
This house is a traditional, two story gable front form embellished with Queen Anne details. The gable is shingled and the gable peak decorated with delicate sawn work. A partial width asymmetrical hipped roof porch shelters a three-sided bay and the front entrance. It has turned posts and spoolwork trim. The bay is paneled. Windows are one over one double hung sash.
