This Mediterranean-inspired house was designed in 1930 by local architect Henry H. Hodgson for an attorney, James Crehan, and his wife Grace. The contractor was Clyde Reese, who built other nearby houses including the Abrams house behind this one, at 321 W. Highland Drive. In 1935 the house was purchased by Albert K. Guy, owner of G. O. Guy Drug Stores, a pioneer Seattle pharmacy chain. He and his wife Dorothy lived here until the 1970s. The Guys were married for 65 years; Dorothy Guy died in 2004 at the age of 105. The current owners, Melvin Bailet, a vice president of the Loomis Company, and his wife Ruth, have lived here since the 1970s.

Appearance
This house has a gable-front-and-wing form, with a two-story rear section and a one-story gabled wing projecting toward the street. Beneath this is a two-car garage at the sidewalk, with a scalloped parapet topped with red clay tile. The stucco cladding and red clay tile roofing show a Mediterranean influence. The entry is at the east side, approached by a stairway at the right of the garage. The most prominent feature is a large arched leaded glass window in the gable end above the garage. Above the entry, on the rear section, is a porch with large curved brackets and a newer wrought iron railing and leaded glass French doors. The west end has newer windows and a door set into a larged arched niche.
