Historic Name: Unknown Common Name: Style: Vernacular Neighborhood: Central Area Built By: Year Built: 1895   Significance In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local). This house is one of a row of late 19th century vernacular houses, which embodies the characteristics of the Folk Victorian style, that is a traditional vernacular form embellished with Victorian details. This house is importatnt because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle. This house also contributes to the historic streetscape. L. H. Jensen purchased this house in January of 1924.   Appearance This traditional gable front house form is enlarged by a shallow L to the north and a one story rear-wing addition. A small hipped roof entrance porch feels the L. It and the front gable are decorated with sawn work including a perforated bargeboard and floriform gable piece. Windows are one over one double hung sash. While in remarkably original condition, the house's appearance has been compromised by vertical board siding applied to the façade. It obscures decorative fish scale shingles and clapboard siding.
