Significance |
|
This house appears to have been originally occupied by John N. Lewos and "remodeled" in 1924. Fruit trees were included in the original landscaping, characteristic of early South Park. The house and setting give us information about the community's agrarian origins.

Appearance |
This simple folk house takes the bungalow form but is less well scaled. It has a bulky gabled roof mass which faces the street with a gabled roof center entrance. The porch is supported by square wooden columns resting on railing composed of siding to match the house. Wood shingles cover the gable end, a medium width clapboard the first floor level and wide siding the foundation. Five knee braces break the wide gable. |
