Historic Name: Common Name:

Significance
This house was built in 1922 by Glen F. Ernst (4340 9th Avenue N. E. ) for owner G. A. Carver (2324 N. 50th Street). It was permitted as a one story frame residence over a full basement on a concrete foundation. The original designer is not known. The house appears to have still been owned by Carver in 1935. The upper half-floor was unfinished when the house was surveyed by the Assessor in 1937. A permit for some electrical work was issued in 1984. When the structure was surveyed for inclusion in this database in 2004, it appeared to have been thoroughly renovated relatively recently; however, there is no permit in city records associated with this work. The original style of the house appears to have been maintained although some of the detailing has been modified. The basement appears to have been remodeled.
