Significance
This house is an excellent example of lat e19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contibutes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle. Additionally, it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape.
 
Appearance
This is a variation of the traditional gable front vernacular house type embellished with stylish Queen Anne details. It has decorative square and fish scale shingles at the second level and in the gavle. The full width recessed porch is supported by turned columns and decorated with spoolwork. Typical of the vernacular type, windows are sparse (one over one) and the entrance is asymmetrical. The front gable is clipped. There is an interior brick chimney to the rear on the north elevation.
