This house is unique in South Park. It is also one of the few early houses located near the old streetcar terminus at Kenyon and 8th.
S. A. Mercer held title to this property in 1920.

| Appearance |
| This house has the form of an Italianate cottage but is devoid of ornate detail. It is the only Italianate cottage in South Park. It has a low pitched hip roof with full width hipped proch which is supported by square replacement columns. The three bay symmetrical façade has a center entrance with one over one double hung wooden windows to each side. Two interior brick chimneys continue the symmetry. A bay window has been added to the north side of the house and original siding is obscured by asbestos shingles. Set on prominent corner lot across from industrial development, this house and its setting help define and delineate the surviving historic streetscape. |
