Summary for 2112 6th AVE / Parcel ID 0660000176 / Inv #

Historic Name: Andersen Buick Co. Common Name: Piranha Productions
Style: Modern Neighborhood: Denny Triangle
Built By: Year Built: 1951

Significance
This simple concrete-and-brick building was constructed in 1951 for the Anderson Buick Company, a very typical use for this vicinity. The second Denny Regrade (1929-30), east of Fifth Avenue, was completed just as the Depression began and came to be occupied primarily by low-density uses such as auto dealerships. The building was significantly altered in 1963, when it appears to have been an office equipment service center for Smith-Corona Marchant. This was also a typical use in Belltown, so that suppliers could be close to their downtown customers. Its windows have now been covered over, and it is used for video production.
