Built late in the "bungalow period," this house contributes to our knowledge of the evolution of 20th Century vernacular housing. James Carlin purchased this property in September of 1928.
 
Appearance
This house is representative of the simple early 20th century cottages derived from the bungalow form. It is intact and despite its simplicity displays popular decorative treatments including a cottage door, Craftsman windows grouped in threes to each side of the entrance and knee braces at each corner and above the porch column. A gabled extension to the east appears to be an addition. This house contributes to our knowledge of 20th century vernacular housing and to the historic streetscape.
