Significance
This house embodies the distinctive characteristics of a vernacular interpretation of the Queen Anne style. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. This house and its dramatic garage also enhance our knowledge of the coming of the automobile and how it was celebrated in residential architecture.
 
Appearance
This house is a two story gable front dwelling with double cross gables that project to the east creating a shallow el. A shed roof entrance porch is sheltered in the el. The gable is shingled and there is a three-sided bay on the façade. A concrete garage with corner pillars is built into the slope of the northeast corner of the site.
