Field Notes: Sound Transit EIS; Altered since Sound Transit survey; Architect - Ibsen Nelsen.
This building was designed as the headquarters of the local Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of America by Ibsen Nelsen, who had previously designed buildings for a Boy Scout camp, Camp Omache. It is an example of the Northwest Style, with dark-stained hroizontal cedar siding, deep eaves and bands of windows. The land on which it sits was donated by the estate of Reginald Parsons, one of the founders of the local Scouting movement. Much of the labor and materials for the project were donated.
