In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
Late 19th century sanborn maps of Seattle indicate that this kind of Stick style frame apartment/townhouse was once very common. This is one of the very few that survive intact enough to convey their hisotirc character. It enhances our knowledge of 19th century housing and the development of Seattle as well as contributes to the historic streetscape.
 
Appearance
This Stick style apartment building retains its form and its character defining decoarative detail even though original cladding has been covered with wood shingles and windows have been replaced. It has two full height square bay windows capped by false gables. Brackets decorate the cornice line and architraves above the entrance transoms. Sawn work further decorates the façade at the cornice line. The building has a flat roof, which slopes to the rear. The three entrance stoops have square, paneled wooden newell posts with turned baluster.
