Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This house is important as one of South Park's only T-shaped vernacular dwellings. It and its setting are significatn for their association with the small farming and orchard activities that characterized early South Park. Peter B. Smith, an engineer acquired title to this property in 1918.
 
Appearance
This house is one of South Park's only T-shaped vernacular dwellings. It bears many of the same characteristics as the more common one & 1/2 story gable such as steep gable roof, sparse windows and asymmetrical entrance. This house has a hipped roof wrap-around porch. The original clapboard siding has been covered with wooden shingles.
