Significance
This auto service shop retains some of its original Streamline Moderne detailing in the fluting on the pilasters, but it has been expanded and significantly altered. It was built in 1936 as an auto supply store with an adjacent garage forming an ell on the south side. It was later the Home Silk Shop (1949) and B. F. Goodrich Tires (1957). The adjacent garage was demolished and the main building expanded to the south to accommodate the new service area.
