Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This house is a unique, relatively intact fold house which yields important information about early vernacular housing in South Park and contributes to our knowledge of South Park settlement. Lydia A. Elston bought this property in March of 1927.
 
Appearance
This folk house provides us with a glimpse at some of South Park's earliest housing. It is a two story gable front dwelling with a one & 1/2 story gabled wing and rear shed addition (perhaps porch enclosure). A low hipped front porch with slender turned posts privides the only decoration. Windows are one ove one double hung wooden sash. There are interior brick chimneys in the cross gable and on the west gable end. Faux-brick asphalt siding covers the original. This house and its setting are individually important and contribute to the historic streetscape.
