The Margola is one of a unique collection of eight ca. 1929 apartment buildings located in the 1100 block of 17th Avenue. Each apartment building is different but of similar mass and scale and each reflects popular styles of the day. The Margola is important for its contribution to this group. Peoples Savings and Loan Association acquired this property in 1934.
 
Appearance
The Margola is a simple three story brick veneer apartment building with fluit art deco lines and decorative terra cotta relief above the windows. The building is characterized by the elaborated terra cotta relief above the center entrance. Windows are metal casement.
