Significance
This hosue is one of two adjacent late 19th century vernacular houses interpreted in the Italiante style (1801 & 1805 E Spruce). They are important rare examples of this early house type. They enhance our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle. Isaac Israel acauired this property in 1903.
 
Appearance
This two story hipped roof box exhibits the basic characteristics of the Italianate style, including the low hipped roof, a wide bracketed eave and a wrap-around porch with chamfered posts and scroll brackets. It also has one over one double hung window sashes. A hipped projection extends to the west.
