This house is an outstanding, intact example of a pattern book Craftsman cottage.
Lucas Burger, a sausage maker with Rainier Packaging Company, lived here in 1938. Lucas and Sophie Burger lived at 547 S Donovan ST prior to this.

| Appearance |
| This one & 1/2 sotry Craftsman cottage is an outstanding example of the type. The broad end gabled roof has a wide eave with exposed rafter ends. A full width inset porch faces Donavan ST while a gabled stoop covers the 7th Ave S entrance. The three-sided bay to the east (7th Ave) is covered by a shed roof. A fully embellished gable dormer provides a second story balcony on the northern (Donovan Street) elevation. Three widths of siding further enrich the house which has battered wooden porch posts, clinker brick chimney and fifteen over one double hung windows. Originally, a tiny matching "playhouse" stood to the immediate north of the house. Located on a prominent corner, this house is important individually and contributes to South Park's historic character. |
