Significance
This is a good example of a vernacular Queen Anne-style house, a simple version of the architectural style that was popular in the late 19th century. It is one of a number of similar houses in the neighborhood, which may have been built by a carpenter for sale, perhaps based on a pattern book design. The house appears to be largely intact.
 
Appearance
This gable-front house has an entry porch at the Cladding is clapboard with decorative shingles in the gables ends The front gable end is clad with decorative shingles and has a Palladian window with diamond-pane glass in the side windows. The recessed porch is at the southeast corner, with two slender round columns and a clapboard balustrade. Next to it is a three-sided bay, with lozenge-patterned leaded glass in the center window. The south elevation has a gabled dormer and a three-sided bay with a bracketed roof and three windows.
