Appearance
This unusual residence is a derivation fo the Indian form of bungalow from which the ubiquitous bungalow house form evolved. It has a broad, low bellcast roof with wide overhanging eaves. Rafter ends are exposed. The partially inset corner porch is supported by neoclassical columns which rest on square wooden piers. Porch baluster is composed of horizontal siding to match the house. A bay window projects to the east. Windows are one over one double hung wooden sash. Possibly the only "Indian bungalow" in Seattle survives in South Park so it is natural to consider what link may exist between it and this derivation. This house and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape.
