In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local). This house is singularly important for its Indian bungalow form. It is the only such house in South Park and only known example in Seattle. It is also important for its associations with small farming activities that characterized early South Park.   Appearance This is the only known Indian bungalow in Seattle. It is the prototype from which some scholars say the bungalow form developed. It has a steep pyramidal roof with slightly off-center brick chimnye. The very broad over-hanging eave shelters an inset wrap-around porch supported by round columns. The partial height columns rest on handrails made of narrow siding to match the house. The house is set on a broad lawn in a pastoral setting.
