Significance
This is a good example of late 19th century vernacular architecture. It contributes to our knowledge of vernacular architecture and the residential development of Seattle.
 
Appearance
This is an early example of the traditional hipped roof box house form elaborated with a full height square projecting bay. The bay is decorated with wooden shingles and the eave decorated with brackets. Original windows are one over one double hung wooden sash in decorative molded frames. Characteristic of the type, windows are sparse and the entrance is asymmetrical.
