Appearance
This is an outstanding intact example of a hipped roof Craftsman Cottage. It has narrow, false beveled siding. A hipped roof bay window projects from the northwest corner of the house while a hipped roof inset porch balances the northeast corner. Both projections are decoratively supported by simple brackets. Porch baluster and handrail are made of siding to match the house and porch posts are square columns. Broad eaves have exposed rafter ends and one interior brick chimney rises from the center rear. Windows are 1/1 double-hung wooden sash. There is a single light, fixed sash on the porch and one also decorates the façade. Has two matching dependencies to the rear. Has features frequently seen on Fred Fehren houses. (See "Classic Box" File - Courtois report)
