This house is significant as an intact example of an early 20th Cnetury pattern book bungalow with garage. It appears that Albert Prato was the original owner.   Appearance This is a good, intact example of a modest Craftsman bungalow. It has a rather steeply pitched, front facing, gable roof. A smaller front facing gable projection defines the paritally inset front entrance. Another gable projection to the west defines a bay. Windows are one over one double hung wooden sash obscured by exterior storm windows. Front gable ends are wood shingled. Rafter ends are exposed and knee braces decorate the façade. Porch posts are square columns which rest on the clapboard handrails. A garage and tiny outbuilding "match" the house. (To its rear is a complex of 19th Centruy buildings described under 846 1/2 Donovan). This house is set on a busy street of mixed commercial, residential and multifamily residential structures.
