Appearance
This house is an excellent, intact example of vernacular interpretation of the Queen Anne style. The main mass of the house is square with a steeply pitched end-gable roof. A dominant front facing gable dormer centers the façade and a similar one at the rear of the house. The full-width hipped porch has a pedimented entrance. Porch posts are turned and the baluster is composed of turned spindles. Spool work decorates the porch cornice. Finials decorate gable peaks and the corners of the eave. This house bears similarities in material and detail to 9160 Seventh Ave S. The house and its setting contribute to the historic pastoral setting.
