Significance
This house is an excellent example of late 19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it contributes to the historic streetscape. Further evaluation of this cottage may yield information regarding the rich ethnic heritage of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood.
 
Appearance
This is a traditional one story hipped roof box with full width recessed porch supported by slender classical columns. The windows are one over one double hung wooden windows. Tehre is a center brick chimney. The house is clad in faux-brick asphalt siding. It is set in front of 1635 South King Street.
