Constructed ca. 1920, this one-story building fronts Taylor Avenue N and faces west. The site slopes slightly downward from north to south. The building abuts the sidewalk along Taylor Avenue N and has a paved parking area to the east with alley access. The curb cuts for garage access remain along Taylor Avenue N. The building has a rectangular plan.
A gable roof with perimeter parapets shelters interior spaces. Wood trusses support the roof. The front facade parapet features a single triangular rise following the gable roof pitch. The rear facade parapet is stepped as it follows the gable roof pitch. Asphalt composition shingles clad the roof. Sheet metal flashing caps the parapets. An internal brick chimney with some decorative corbeling at its cap services the building.
A concrete foundation supports the hollow clay tile masonry structure. The lower portion of the rear east facade consists of load-bearing brick masonry with hollow clay tile in the gable end. The brick provides the structure for the large garage door openings. The front facade features brick veneer with decorative corbeling at the front arches, at the transition to the parapet, and along the upper portion of the parapet.
The south side facade features a series of 12-lite wood sash windows with a tile sill and brick moldings. The rear east facade features a large, round-arched, louvered vent in the upper portion of the roof gable. This opening features a load-bearing rowlock brick arch with row lock brick sill. The opening provides ventilation for the original open interior volume. The front facade features a window in the upper portion of the roof gable and window opening on the north side of the garage bays.
Front entrances consist of two elliptically arched former garage doorways flanked by an elliptically arched personnel doorway on the south. The south personnel doorway has a 12-lite transom above it.
Rear entrances consist of two large, elliptically arched garage doorways, allowing vehicle access to the building interior. These are flanked by two smaller elliptically arched personnel entrances. All doorways feature load-bearing rowlock brick arches.
Alterations include painting of all exterior masonry surfaces. Large sheet metal ducts have been added in the upper portions of the former rear personnel entrances. The garage doors all feature contemporary metal roll up doors. Front facade alterations installed storefronts with brick bulkheads in the garage bays. The front garage bays originally featured tall multi-lite side hinged garage doors with low wood panels along the bottom. Installation of the current front south personnel entry door and installation of a vinyl sash in the north front facade window replaced the original multi-lite wood sash window as well as a multi-lite upper gable window with a single lite. An added outdoor seating area extends to the south of the building.
