This ca. 1905 building is one of the University District’s early commercial structures. This building is one of Seattle’s several extant Masonic buildings. This particular Masonic Lodge organized in November 1903; it is a fraternal order that promotes free masonry and fellowship. The building housed various other lodge chapters on the second floor, and provided commercial space to a variety of stores on the first floor. Regular meetings are still conducted there today.

| This three-story, brick Masonic building has minimal detail, consisting of a brick cornice and pediment. The two storefronts have both been replaced with new windows and doors. A marquee remains yet is most likely not original. It is possible that the original marquee is still extant underneath the current one. |
