Significance
This house was erected in 1918 by owner Henry Nelson (3645 Densmore Avenue N.). The designer of the building is unknown. A permit to build a "portable residence" on the property was issued to H. L. Couger late in 1918. It is not known if this permit is related to the existing structure. The house was built as a one-story structure over a half basement; however, the Assessor's office later concluded that the structure had a full basement. The attic was converted to living space at some point after 1937. The permit record indicates that a garage was added to the site by R. A. Cronin in 1920.
