This three-story apartment building was built in 1926 according to the King County Property Record Card (1937) and the King County Assessor Property Characteristics Report (accessed in 2005).
The Assessor did not record the name of the property owner when this property was surveyed by the Assessor’s office in 1937. The building appears to have been acquired by John J. Nelson in 1939 but was sold to Alice J. Picht in 1943. Pacific National Bank acquired the property in 1946. J. F. Farris and wife purchased the property in 1958 but sold the building to another party (whose name is not legible on the King County Property Record Card) the following year. Paul L. Batzle and wife acquired the property in 1968. It is unclear when Ernest and Elaine Henley acquired the property, or from whom; however, the Henleys transferred the property to the current legal owner, Henley Family LLC, in 1998.
