Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This house is an interesting example of vernacular architecture as affected by economic property. It is a large, rectangular box form exaggerated by quirky roof lines, Queen Anne details and classical elements. Thus it embodies the distinctive characteristics of a folk Victorian. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the hisotric streetscape. Sam Fischer purchased the property in 1931.

This rambling folk Victorian has a prominent site on two corner lots. It is exxentially a large hipped roof rectangular box embellished with unusual roof lines and junctures, two corner towers and a full height bay.
