Historic Name: Super Brake Service Common Name: Markham Building
Style: Commercial Neighborhood: Belltown

Significance
This two-story brick building was constructed as a garage/auto repair building in 1924, of solid brick with simple terra cotta trim. It had a garage door and display windows with transoms on the first floor and metal sash industrial-style windows above. An office mezzanine floor was added in 1950. There were a variety of auto-related uses over the years; in 1937 it was Super Brake Service. It has been completely remodeled, having been converted to office use with new windows. The main entrance has been opened up to form a courtyard, perhaps taking advantage of some of the original garage space.
