Historic Name: Bremer Apartments Common Name: Bremer Apartments
Style: Vernacular Neighborhood: Belltown
Built By: Year Built: 1924

Significance
This apartment building is typical of those built between the wars in many Seattle neighborhoods, especially Belltown, just north of downtown. These buildings provided affordable housing for downtown workers, and most of them are now maintained as affordable housing. They are a very important part of the historic character of the Belltown neighborhood. This example is unusually simple for this era. The entry has a cast stone surround, and is topped by a flat suspended canopy and two groups of double-hung windows. The main door and canopy are newer, and one-over-one vinyl windows have replaced the original six-over-one wood window sash.
