Originally the Seventh Day Adventist Church, this structure was integral in the development of other University District congregations. The Seventh Day Adventists held their services on Saturdays, and therefore were able to rent out this small chapel to other religious groups on Sundays. The University Lutherans purchased the chapel in September 1919 intending to move the structure to the NE corner of NE 50th Street and 16th Ave NE; today the church building is the home of the Hatha Yoga Center. This building is and example of an early wood-frame church building that is still extant in the University District commercial area.

| Appearance |
| This one-story structure originally was a one-story wood frame church with a gable roof and clapboard siding. The original pointed arch windows with lancet mullions remain intact. Small shed additions were constructed at the front and rear. A second floor appears to have been added inside the existing structure. The front addition detracts from the buildings integrity and character. |
