Significance
This house is a good example of late 19th/early 20th century vernacular housing. It contributes to our knowledge of the architectural and residential development of Seattle and it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape. Further evaluation of this house may yield additional information regarding the rich ethnic history of this historically Japanese/American and Italian/American neighborhood.

Appearance
This house is an eccentric variation of the traditional gable front vernacular house type. It has a front facing gambrel roof with an offset gambrel projection to the front. The second level is covered in wooden shingles as is the inset corner porch. A decorative oval window is located above the porch but the most unusual feature of the house is the triangular 'eyebrow' in each gambrel peak.
