This Craftsman Cottage is one of three (619 & 621 20th Avenue) very similar cottages important as representative of the Craftsman style but also important for the information they offer about early 20th century housing. This cottage enhances our knowledg of vernauclar architecture and residential development in Seattle and it contributes to the historic streetscape.
These houses do not appear on the 1904-1905 Sanborn. There is some evidence that Max Schwartz may have developed these cottages.

| Appearance |
| This 20' x 31', one & 1/2 story cottage has a broad, side gable roof with a dominant hipped dormer. The whole cottage is wood shingled. The porch is inset under the northeast corner of the roof and is supported by bold square columns withscroll brackets. A pilaster at the southeast corner mimics the porch post. Windows are wide multipane over one double hung sash. Original open eaves with exposed rafter ends have been enclosed. Set high above the sidewalk, the cottage is reached by concrete steps. |
