Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This is an excellent intact example of a traditional vernacular gable front house form embellished with popular Shingle style and Neoclassical ornament. It is representative of the period and contributes to the historic streetscape. George W. Wilder acquired this property in 1920.
 
Appearance
This is a traditional house form embellished with popular ornament of the day. It avoids the free-form of the Shingle style but incorporates second floor and gable shingle cladding with mitered corners. The full width porch is restrained with Neoclassical columns resting on square bases. Simple spindlework baluster survives but porch roof cresting is missing . The house has a predominant front facing gable roof with bracketed eave and a cross gable to the south defines a full height projection. Windows are one over one double hung sash.
