Significance |
|
This simple concrete building is located in the last section of the Denny Regrade, which was completed in 1930. Because of the Depression, little development occurred until after World War II, and this was one of the earlier buildings, constructed in 1949. It was originally Robert Hall, a men’s clothing company, one of very few retail uses in the area. Even today the area does not have much retail activity. It was later a state liquor store and is now used by the state Board of Tax Appeals. It appears to be in generally original condition, except that the entry has been altered. It has parking on the roof, a typical feature of buildings of this period.
