Significance
The Lambert Building was designed and constructed by architect Frank H. Fowler in 1924. Agnes Inc. a women’s furnishing store originally occupied the building and remained until the late 1930's. Frank H. Fowler was an architect and engineer who practiced in Seattle in the early part of the 20th century. Fowler's offices were located in the Smith Tower in downtown Seattle. In addition to designing the Lambert Building, Fowler designed and constructed the Wilsonian Apartment Hotel.
 
Appearance
The Lambert Building is a one-story commercial structure with a cast stone and tile exterior. The one-story enframed window wall is divided into four separate storefronts. Square pilasters topped with bracketed capitals separate the storefronts. The storefronts have had their doors and windows replaced; only one storefront has its original transom windows.
