Significance
This motel was built in 1957-58, a period of intensive motel development in this vicinity. Auto travel was becoming very popular following the austerity of the Depression and World War II. This building is typical in form, with a U-shaped plan around a courtyard used for parking. An open walkway on each floor provides access to each unit. Cladding is primarily concrete block, with vertical wood on the inside of the U and stone (painted white) on the street façade. The windows have been replaced with more modern sash.
