Appearance

Constructed in 1955, this concrete commercial building is located on midblock on the west side of Third Avenue W between W Harrison Street and W Republican Street. The site slopes down from north to south. The 1-story building has a rectangular plan and stands on a poured concrete foundation. The building’s main entrance fronts Third Avenue W and is located at the north end of its east elevation. The entrance is recessed and angled. The windows are wood with 4 lites with a mixture of fixed, hopper, and awning. Fluted mullions separate the windows. Brick veneer clads the east (main) elevation. A large concrete block addition is present on the west elevation.

The building retains integrity.
