This house is an important intact example of the evolution of popular housing styles. Built in a transitional period, it is a marriage of a traditional 19th Century form with Queen Anne and classical details. K. B. Skelly acquired title to the porperty in 1923.
 
Appearance
This unusual house is a one story eclectic cottage with a steep hipped roof and a heavy molded cornice. It has a partial width inset porch and a large three-sided bay. Classical columns support the porch. One over one double hung wood sash windows have molded frames. The hosue has a rear addition. The house is a marriage of classical, Queen Anne and folk elements. It is set on a busy street of commercial and residential structures.
