Significance
This dwelling is an excellent example of a late 19th century vernacular house common in Seattle ca 1880-1890. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residenital development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streeetscape.
 
Appearance
This house is a traditional, foursquare vernauclar form characterized by a low hipped roof, sparse windows, asymmetrical entrance and one over one doulbe hung sash. This particular house also has a decorated cornice and a denticulated, full width, hipped porch.
