Significance
This house embodies the distinctive characteristics of an American Foursquare interpreted on an elaborate scale. It is important because it enhances our knowledge of vernacular architecture and residential development in Seattle and because it and its setting contribute to the historic streetscape.
 
Appearance
This traditional two story, hipped roof box is elaborated with Craftsman, Moorish and Prairie detail. It has the strong horizontal lines and massive square columns of the Prairie style but has wide open eaves with exposed rafter ends in the Craftsman fashion. Tiny Moorish windows in the center of the facade create a focal point.
