This building is a rare, intact neighborhood store building with apartments above. This building enhances our knowledge of late 19th and early 20th century neighborhood development.

Appearance |
This building is a 47' X 64' brick veneer storefront with apartments above. It also has at least one apartment on the first floor. A wood frame storefront with double dorr center entrance and multipanel transoms characterizes the first florr. An open porch separates it from the entrance to a flat; also on the first floor. Upstairs, two three-sided bay windows decorate the 16th Avenue façade and one on the Spruce Street elevation. Part of the building's parapet is missing, but much of the molded cornice is extant. The building originally accommodated six apartments and one store. |
