Significance
In the opinion of the survey, this property is located in a potential historic districe (National and/or local).
This building is one of a group of four commercial vernacular buildings that are important because they enhance our knowledge of residential development in Seattle and remind us that this was a late 19th and early 20th century commercial hub. This collection of buildings (2601, 2603, 2609 Jackson and 406 26th Avenue South) contributes to the historic streetscape of this corner and along 26th Avenue South. This building is also a rare, surviving example of an early 20th century garage. M. A. Weed bought this property in 1915.
 
Appearance
This concrete, four bay garage has a flat roof, raised parapet and corner pillars. The original paneled, multi-light garage doors have been replaced.
